Kafein Technology Expands in Europe!
Publicly traded Kafein Technoogy is meeting the technology software and management needs of local and global clients in industries such as telecommunications, banking, tourism, services, retail, and insurance within the cybersecurity sector. In addition to providing tailored key solutions to customer needs, Kafein is also developing technologies in areas like the Internet of Things (IoT), big data analysis, security, and mobile applications. CEO Cem Kalyoncu, who highlights that Kafein is one of the significant players in the fields of GDPR-compliant technologies and cybersecurity, has announced plans for growth in Europe.
Kalyoncu shared that last year, one of the group companies, Karmasis, brought its advanced cybersecurity technology products and expertise to the Azerbaijan market and established its first international company, "Karmasis Azerbaijan MMC," in Baku. He added, “We expect the return on investments made for Karmasis Azerbaijan MMC to start in 2023. Our efforts to expand Karmasis products in Europe and Turkic Republics continue."
Kalyoncu also pointed out that 2022 was a year in which Kafein made significant investments in new technology areas. He continued, "We closed the third quarter of 2022 with a 56.5% increase compared to the same period last year. Our gross profit increased by 39.7%, while our operating profit grew by 30.7%. We have established our All-in Cyber cybersecurity solutions department, focusing on raising the information security levels of institutions by integrating human, processes, and technology to counter cyberattacks. A significant strategic step for reaching the target market was achieved when our recently developed Test Data Management (TDM) product was added to the global product catalog of global software provider Micro Focus."
Kalyoncu emphasized that cybersecurity will continue to be a growing and ever-evolving sector, stating, “With All-in Cyber, it is crucial that personal data protection practices, implemented worldwide, become an integral part of the DNA of organizations in Turkey as well.”
5 Million TL Investment in R&D
Kalyoncu shared that over 700 Turkish engineers are working with Kafein’s subsidiaries, and employment will continue to rise in 2023. He highlighted that more than 5 million TL is being invested in 25 R&D projects, with plans to increase R&D investments in 2023. One of the R&D projects, “Parkinson Care,” is in the patent process. He explained, "This project, a mobile platform that can be used by patients, their relatives, and doctors, supported by data mining, image processing, and artificial intelligence, will play a significant role in tracking the treatment process of a disease that increasingly affects a larger portion of society."
