- How are HR strategies positioned in your company policy? What areas do you focus on as HR?

HR’s role in companies is strengthening day by day. I can say it has evolved into a multi-faceted department, shifting from individual management to company culture management. Our HR approach is based on supporting change with development. On one hand, we create an environment where our employees can unleash their potential, while on the other hand, we have a structure that prepares all our stakeholders for the future. As a technology company and a firm that drives institutions into the future, we value the ability to adapt quickly to the changing dynamics within the organization. We revise our policies and practices according to the conditions of the time we are in. We’ve implemented long-term yet flexible plans regarding organizational structure, workforce capabilities, and company culture. The role of HR now covers critical issues that require strategic planning and determine the company’s future. We have a structure that prioritizes the company’s goals and supports sustainable growth strategies.

- Can you share your predictions, insights, and information regarding the HR trends of 2023? What will stand out in HR in 2023?

In recent years, topics such as quiet quitting, economic fluctuations, and flexible work models have been on the agenda for HR leaders. These issues will continue to be on the agenda in 2023. Linked to this, employee well-being will continue to be a priority. Benefits, inclusivity, flexible working models, and creating a company culture that ensures equality will also be key topics. In the HR field, relationship management, communication, and employee training will continue to be top priorities. These topics are important parts of talent management and have been and will continue to be a part of our lives. Because now, not just HR professionals, but leaders at every level of companies understand the importance of investing in their employees. Every investment made in employee well-being, education, and motivation reflects positively on the company’s balance sheet. In 2023, as hybrid work models continue to be implemented, maintaining communication and employee engagement will remain a top priority for HR professionals. According to a study by Gartner, which shared their predictions for 2023, one of the top five priorities for HR leaders will be to foresee what hybrid working will bring and take actions accordingly. In this work model, the new skills employees will need, adapting existing skills, maintaining healthy employee-employer communication, and strategies for forecasting future talent needs will be more important than ever.

- Can you share your methods for the digitalization of HR processes as a technology company?

With the progress of technology in various dimensions, innovations have come to HR management that simplify processes significantly. Based on recent developments, the necessity of digital transformation to manage HR’s wide scope and streamline processes effectively has become clear. Technological investment holds a significant place in Kafein’s HR management policy. We’ve been progressing with different technologies, such as cloud-based software, allowing access from anywhere. We use digital tools in all processes such as assessment centers, recruitment processes, digital training programs, reward systems, career and performance management, leave, expenses, work schedules, internal communication, and satisfaction surveys. Kafein Teknoloji also uses the Corporate Portal product, which is designed flexibly according to the existing organizational structure and forms the basis of the HR department’s workflow, and we carry out our processes on this platform. Thanks to Kafein’s experience in digital transformation projects, our gains are growing day by day.

- Can you share the key points of the strategy behind your investments in your employees?

The most important architects of sustainable success and branding are our employees. Their well-being and positive experience as employees are our top priority. The concept of well-being in work life, which has gained increasing importance, will continue to be one of the top priorities in our HR strategy roadmap. As an employer brand, creating an attraction for talents and ensuring employee engagement, as well as making talent strategies sustainable through systematic applications, will continue to be on our agenda. We support and encourage our colleagues to adapt to hybrid systems and new technologies, to act with a leadership mindset, and to continue embracing the culture of inclusivity that embraces different generations and perspectives within the company.
